Rexburg 15th Ward Sawtooth High Adventure Hike

We just completed a three day backpacking trip to the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho.  We hiked the Toxaway Pettite loop, staying the first night at Bow Knot Lake and the second at Alice Lake.  We had 4 scouts and 4 adults.  The young men were Caden Anderson, Bryson Barrett, Christopher Davis, and Jack Davis.  Old folks were Owen Anderson, Steve Davis, Ben Hyde, and Blaine Hyde.

Overall, the trip went very smoothly except for a slight diversion (taking the wrong trail) just 1 mile in by the lead group of scouts that cost us couple of hours.  The second night we were all startled from our sleep by and epic lightning and rainstorm, that largely missed us, but provided a spectacular light and sound show.  After the storm passed the skies were perfectly clear and a couple of us enjoyed looking the brilliant stars.

The pictures below are some of the highlights of the adventure.
