The Christmas Card You Won't be Getting in the Mail

I worked up a little Christmas card, but sadly I was out voted since their are no pictures of me and Cindy. However, I did spend quite some time on this card, so here it is for your viewing pleasure.

Merry Christmas!

Sledding at Sugar Hill

We have recently received some fresh new snow so we decided to head for Sugar hill. We used to live in Sugar City and the kids have enjoyed sledding there because it is a decent size hill, but not too big. We brought along or dog Lolli, and she enjoyed acting like a young pup for a little while.

A Pioneer Song

Jenna has been super busy this past semester as usual with singing in the choir, dancing with the Idaho Ballroom Academy, and participating in the BYUI production of A Pioneer Song. This musical ran 9 nights and Jenna really enjoyed her role in this cast. She was a member of the chorus and had 10 lines, not bad for a new freshman. She is looking forward to continuing her musical studies at BYU-Idaho. Here are some pictures after her final performance and one we stole off the web of the female case rehearsing before going on stage.

Some Pictures from Thanksgiving Break

We all survived Thanksgiving and enjoyed some time off and days of sleeping in -- sort of. We enjoyed our snowy weather, finding Christmas trees, cooking and eating, watching football (with Emrie bringing in a chair for a real close view), and watching Jenna dance at the Rexburg talent showcase.

Red Rock Heaven

We recently visited Cannonville and Escalante Utah to celebrate our grandmother and great grandmother Davis's funeral. She lived to be 97 and was a wonderful example of Christian living. Behind her old home are some fabolous red rocks which we climbed on. Aslo, we visited the red rock slide near my grandmother McInelly's home in Escalante.

Introducing RUFF

Over the past several years, we have had a tradition of playing a weekly flag football game somewhere in Rexburg. This was largely started when Brandon and Taft were here at school. We have tried to keep the tradition going, especially while Matthew and Taylor are still here. Well, we have officially taken it to the next level by creating a Facebook Group called R.U.F.F., Rexburg Ultimate Flag Football. Our goals is to keep a steady stream of players and keep the tradition going.

Last night, in spite of a mini blizzard and freezing temperatures, we had our first RUFF game with 10 players. We played on the BYUI Stadium under the lights and had a great time.

Fall Horseback Ride

We may have seen our last somewhat warm Saturday, so went for quick horseback ride in Moody. We enjoyed a nice ride along the Teton River and saw a beaver dam, a muskrat, a bald eagle, some ducks, and a large flock of swans flying south for the winter.

Halloween 2009

We had a fun day complete with Trunk or Treating, a super party at Kevin and Dee Marie's home, some fun costumes (Christopher is the the one hiding behind the Viking mascot). My favorite is Matthew and Aubrey's, and Grandma combining with Brett for a pretty sweet hairdo. Here are some pictures of the day. Christopher, our up and coming artist, made his own World War II skeleton man pumpkin design. You can see more pictures on his blog at artbycd.blogspot.com.
