Horseback Trip to the Dunes and Egin Lakes

We took advantage of a mostly sunny day and took our new horse Rose, along with Dan and Bullseye to the dunes.  The weather forecast said 20% chance of rain, and it rained for just a few minutes.  The horses were well behaved once Cindy wrangled them for a few minutes.  After our ride at the dunes, we took the kids over to see Egin Lakes.  All an all a great day.  Thank you Grandpa Dorman for making it possible.

Isaac, Emrie, Gretel and Charlie

Isaac and Emrie love playing with our two little Pomapoos, Gretel and Charlie.  Charlie likes to be snuggled by Emrie, and Gretel and Isaac are great friends now that he has gained her trust.

Emrie and Charlie play house and she always lets her wrap her in blankets and go for rides in the stroller.  The two little dogs love to play with each other.  Charlie can stand on her hind legs for a long time and loves to lick.  They both love to chase the squirrels in the backyard, though they never come very close to catching one.

Field Day, Lincoln Elementary

Isaac had his field day today, with a picnic lunch, time with friends, relay races, snow cones, and cotton candy.  Emrie tagged along an acted just like she belonged.

Yes, Isaac is tall and seems to be growing by the minute.  When you see him with his classmates, he really does stand out.  Personally, I hope he comes back to average just a bit.  We'll take our wonderful Isaac no matter how big, but it would be weird to have a 5' 8" (and thats rounding up) dad and a 7' son.
