Bald Eagle Quest

Our dear friends Brad and Michelle Parkinson live near the Teton River and they are kind enough to board our horses.  Behind their property and next to the river is a large tree with an eagle's nest.  Over the years we have often seen bald eagles coming and going.  Isaac has a particular fascination with birds of prey, including eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls.  We decided to take advantage of a sunny afternoon and make a quest to see the bald eagles up close and personal.  Along the way, we hoped to see other wildlife, and in particular a bobcat we have glimpsed in the past.  Regarding the eagles, we were not disappointed.  As for the bobcat, we saw tons of tracks of some kind of cat, but no actual sightings.  Here are a few pictures of our adventure.

Isaac is on to some tracks!

Christopher's Day in the Hospital

For some time we have wondered about Christopher's tonsils and adenoids.  As of late he has had trouble breathing through his nose, he sounds clogged up, and he has had trouble hearing well.  A trip the a local ENT doc revealed that he had very large tonsils, huge adenoids, and fluid trapped behind his eardrum -- likely he result of large adenoids.  Well, his Valentine's Day was spent at Madison Memorial hospital having is tonsils and adenoids removed, plus tubes put in his ears.  Here is a before picture, and two after photos, plus a 3 minute video of him as he starts to wake up from his anesthetic.

Isaac B-Ball

Isaac had his 2nd and 3rd basketball games today.  His having a great time and we are happy to say is super unselfish.  Every boy (all 6) made at least one basket today.

While we were only scheduled to play one game, the game following a team was short a player so Isaac was asked to play for another team.  We are sure he wasn't pick out just because he is a whole head taller than any other player.  Here are some pics and two video clips of this weeks games.
