Matthew and Aubrey in Salt Lake City

Matthew and Aubrey recently had the privilege of being student hosts at the BYU-Idaho President's Club Banquet in Salt Lake. Aubrey also played the background/prelude music and Matthew sang with Vocal Union. They also had the privelege of meeting President and Sister Eyring and others.

A Spring Day in Rexburg

It's another typical March 25 (4 days into spring) day in Rexburg.  A high of 34 degrees and we had snow, rain, hail, and thunder.  Isaac and Emrie were excited to play in the snow, hopefully for the last time, at least for a while.

More Emrie Mischief

As Emrie approaches the blessed 18 month mark next month, she is getting to be more and more curious, mobile, and can climb on to just about anything.  This past week, she got into dad's ties and found some stickers.  The playing with Dad's ties is becoming a very common event so it looks like we need to find a new home for the neckwear.

Grandpa Davis's New Puppies

Grandpa Davis had a litter of three new labrador puppies recently, one of each color (black, chocolate, and yellow).  Isaac was a bit nervous to pick them up, but that  is his hand petting the three.  Emrie took right to them, in fact she wanted to hug the little yellow one a bit too tight. Jenna was a good big sister and made sure the kids and puppies were all okay.

Emrie Glamor Shot

Emrie loves to climb the stares and give kisses through the banister.  I didn't have much luck getting a picture of her giving kisses, but she did strike a pretty good pose on this one.

Brushing Teeth, Big Slippers, and Ice Fishing

One of our new rituals every night is a competition for prime teeth brushing space.  Isaac is first, because he actually has a full mouth of teeth to brush.  Emrie, however, wants to get into the action so we have to make room for her.

Isaac found some of mom's big house slippers and was wearing them around the house.  Notice the big boy underwear.  He is now officially potty trained, and before he turned 3 and 1/2.

Christopher had his second winter camp out with the scouts.  Dad went along for fun.  I got to around 0 degrees and we woke up to everything being frozen, including the eggs.  Later in the day we went ice fishing and the sun was bright and we were actually pretty warm.  It was sunny enough that we all got a pretty good sunburn on our faces.  We did not have much luck catching anything, hence no pictures with our prize catches.  Some in the group had better luck, so we all ate barbecue fish that we cooked right on the frozen lake.  Christopher also enjoyed scaling the rock cliff near where we were fishing.
