Christopher has bee steadily improving with his first year of football. He saw a lot of action yesterday and really mixed it up. His team lost, but he is still having fun. He has two more games left and hopefully his team will come out victorious.

A Trip to 8 Mile Canyon, Lemhi Mountains

Grandpa Davis invited Kevin, Dee Marie, their daughter Deena and myself on a 4 wheeler trip into 8 mile canyon in the Lemhi Mountains. During this all day excursion we saw a variety of scenery, some old abandoned mines, several high mountain peaks featuring an amazing variety of landscape, and some wildlife. We enjoyed perfect weather and this trip would be even more beautiful later in the year when the fall colors arrive.

Hike to Table Mountain

This past Saturday Christopher and his scout troop hiked to Table Mountain in the Tetons. Table Mountain sits at 11,600 feet and provides a great view of the Teton Mountain Range. The hike starts at the Teton Canyon trail head and goes up through Huckleberry Canyon. The 12 mile round trip offers great views of alpine forest, high mountain meadows, jagged peaks, dozens of varieties of wild flowers, and expansive valleys. We had a great time.

Rexburg Tabernacle Concert

Each Wednesday during the summer the city hosts a concert in the old Rexburg Tabernacle. This past week Synchopation, a quartet Cindy sings in, performed. Jenna was asked to participate and she sang a solo and a duet with Cindy. Her solo was an Italian aria she has been learning and will sing for her BYUI auditions in just a couple of weeks. Both she and Cindy sang beautifully and they received lots of compliments and requests to perform again.
