Welcome to the Davis Family Blog! We are active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). We hope you enjoy learning more about our family. We love our six children, wonderful daughter-in-law, and two grandsons. We are a musical family, and love the outdoors.
With the end of the school year, we had our usual round of concerts for Jenna and Christopher, mostly Jenna. Christopher sang in the middle school choir, and Jenna performed in the orchestra, Bel Cantos choir, and vocal spectrum.
Now that we are enjoying some late spring nice weather, we are learning that Emrie would just as soon go barefooted and doesn't mind a bit getting a little dirty. She is also pretty fearless, requiring very watchful eyes from mom, dad, big sister, and big brothers. For example, she will climb all the way to the top of the big, old style, metal slide at Smith Park, and go down it all by herself.
Our neighbor boys, Gabe and Zeke, showed up on their little Honda 50. Christopher claims we now need to get one and Isaac is obsessed with motorcycles, so we he had a blast.
Isaac wore his new purple shirt to church today along with a necktie. We all thought he looked very handsome. Emrie wanted to run around a bit since we had such nice weather. She loves to give Lolli our dog love pats and hugs, which Lolli puts up with but doesn't seem to enjoy either very much.
Jenna attended her last high school formal, the Commencement Dance this past weekend. She was picked up by her date Redge Ballard in an old classic car and was brought home in a limo (sorry, no pictures of the limo). She had a great time and will now have to look forward to college dances this next year. She has attended dozens of both boy's and girl's choice dances during her high school career, and amazingly made it through without one steady boyfriend and still without her first kiss. Great job Jenna.
Jenna and Christopher have been dancing this past year with the Idaho Ballroom Academy. They just had their annual spring show, which will be Jenna's last since she will be off to college in the fall. This was Christopher's first year and first spring show. Jenna danced in several numbers and had a couple of spotlights, while Christopher was in just one number. It was a fun evening featuring several teams and over 200 dancers.
