Our Developing Artist

Christopher spends some time each day drawing and apparently some time in school doodling.  He loves to go to on-line art teaching resources to help teach himself.  Here is a torso sketch he has been working on and some doodles off of a homework sheet.

Fall Horseback Ride

After several days of snowy and rainy weather, the clouds broke on Saturday so we decided to go on a quick ride.  We were joined by Jenna's friend Davin and we saddled up all four horses and rode down to the Teton River.  The water in the slough before the river was incredibly calm and with the fall colors and evening clouds made from some spectacular reflections.  Oh, and Isaac saw a dead beaver and just moments later Bullseye got spooked and after three bucks sent Isaac tumbling.  Thanks to a good helmet and a tough little boy, he got back on and rode back across the creek.

Isaac's Last Football Games

Well, we finished off the last of the football games for the fall.  Isaac had a blast and his cowboys won more than they lost.  The team improved each game and we Isaac made some fast friends, especially Jett.  They are in the same grade and they are already looking forward to next year.  Emrie had fun playing with a new friend and the field markers.

A Boy and his Dogs

Well, we now have two dogs, sisters Gretel and Charlie.  Yes, Charlie is a female.  Cindy comments that Gretel is her dog and Charlie is the kid's.  At least on this occasion, both dogs were pretty friendly with Isaac.

Isaac's First Flag Football Games

Isaac had his first flag football games for the K-1 league.  Isaac plays for the Cowboys.  They lost the first game 4-1 with Isaac scoring a touchdown on a pass play.  They won the second game 4-0 with Isaac scoring on a hand off.

He really likes to play defense and he is a really good sport.

Piney Butte Craters and Dutch Oven Dinner

We enjoyed a quick Labor Day excursion to the Piney Butte Craters for some Dutch oven dinner, a little horseback riding and some family pictures thanks to Matthew's friends Kenne and Danielle.  We were accompanied by Grandpa Dale, Lottie Pickering, and Kegan Davis.
