Isaac and Emrie asked to share a pomegranate. Of course, knowing what mom would say about stained PJ's, Dad made them eat shirtless. Emrie at least had a bib. They had a good time and the kitchen, and more importantly, their clothes, survived!

Christmas in Review
Christmas for the Davis family was extra special this year for two reasons. First, we had Matthew and Aubrey's family, which means Cooper and Bentley. They were super fun and we loved having them. They couldn't be cuter and they love to snuggle. Second, we were able to talk with our missionary Sister Jenna Davis. She is now a trainer and having great success. Here are just a few pictures to remember our special time together.

Auntie Emrie and Nephew Cooper
When your oldest is like 22 years older than your youngest, this is what happens. Your littlest kid can take a bath with your oldest grandson. So, here is aunt Emrie and her nephew Cooper getting ready for church.

Riding the High Country at 89
Grandpa Dorman enjoyed an unbelievably warm late November day riding Rose along the river banks of the Teton River. Grandpa is a pretty great horse trader, trainer, and still mounting up at 89.

Leaf Raking Day
For a November 2, this Saturday was abnormally warm and provided a great opportunity to rack and bag all of our leaves. As I was raking in the front, the boys (Isaac and Christopher) started a fire in our burn pit, which normally would have been the distraction that ended the raking, but to my pleasant surprise -- they had raked a most of the backyard. Way to go boys! Here are some pictures of my great helpers who worked very hard and had some fun along the way.

A Knight and a Butterfly
For our Halloween festivities, Emrie became a butterfly and Isaac was a Knight. They had a fun time trunk or treating at our ward building and visiting Grandpa Dorman, and Grandpa and Grandma Davis. The best news, it was unseasonably warm for a Rexburg Halloween.

Happy Birthday Emrie, She's Five!
We had a small birthday celebration for Emrie Grace Davis who turned 5 on October 10. She still is our miracle a baby and she patiently waited for 2 days to open her presents. This week has been just plain crazy with scouts, roundtable, and music lessons. We were so happy to have her living grandparents join in the celebration. After opening presents, we honored her number one wish and took her to Green Canyon to swim.

New Camera!
Well, my old reliable Sony Cybershot bit the dust and Christopher's little point-and-shoot just wasn't cutting it. The good news, Cindy let me get my first digital SLR, a Canon T3. I have a lot to learn, but I am excited to expand my interest in photography. And, it doesn't hurt having the cutest kids in the world to photograph (IMHO).

Shooting 101 with Michael
Michael and Kelly came up for Conference weekend. Michael and Christopher both own vintage WWII era German pistols. Michael was kind enough to share his vast knowledge, enthusiasm, and especially ammo. Thanks to some inspired warnings from church leaders Christopher even put a few holes in his Xbox. The killing weapon, Michaels new Romanian Mosin Nagant. Grandpa took a few shots, and Steve who doesn't even own a gun, got in some target practice.
Thank you Michael.
Thank you Michael.
