Jenna's Busy Day
Jenna had a Saturday never to be forgotten, and thankfully she pulled it all off! Here is a timeline:
- 2:30 am -- arrive back home after trip to Salt Lake City and performances in the Tabernacle at Temple Square with both the Madison High School Choir and Orchestra
- 7:15 am -- wake up to get ready to take the ACT (for the second time) and look outside to see a driving Rexburg blizzard, or first of the year.
- 7:30 am -- the power goes out on our block so we cannot print the ACT admissions ticket, so we run to Dad's Office to print it, but the power is out there as well.
- 7:50 am -- we arrive at the ACT test site and plead for mercy, which is thankfully granted and she is allowed to take the test.
- 8:00 am t0 12:00 noon -- Take the ACT
- 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm -- Participate in the regional ballroom dance competition and have to compete with several partners, most of which are new to the ballroom dance world. Thankfully, a couple of her partners are experienced and she wins 2nd place in Cha Cha, fourth in the Quick Step, and 4th in the Rumba (see video of cha cha finals at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl5AEy2NCC8).
- 6:30 pm -- Jenna is picked up for her date to the Christmas Formal (see pic)
- Sometime around 1:00 am (the next day), she returns home and to bed, yeah!

Matthew and Aubrey Wedding Pictures
Well, the big day has come and gone and Matthew and Aubrey are off on their honeymoon. We all had a great day in the Rexburg Temple and at our Rexburg reception. We owe a lot of thanks to all those who helped out. It was really a wonderful day. Matthew and Aubrey are truly a happy couple and we wish them well!

Some Backyard Pics While Raking Leaves
A fall tradition for our family is to make some huge piles of leaves and then have some fun making a big mess. Here are some pictures of the kids. Isaac left in the afternoon to go horseback riding, so he was solo for his picture. We will need to have round two so we can get all five of them together.

Some Pirates, Wedding, and Matthew and Aubrey
We have some pirates in the house in anticipation of Halloween. Also, Jenna is getting married, this Tuesday. Here is a pic of her in her wedding dress. Actually, it is a pretend wedding for a mutual activity. Finally, here is a picture of Matthew and Aubrey after Matt's Vocal Union Concert.
Also, I have added a hit counter to the blog so we can see how many visitors we have.
Enjoy.

Backpack Trip in Idaho Sawtooth Mountains
We had an exciting, quick, backpack trip to Farley Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains. Our initial 4-day, 7 lake trip was cut short because of an knee injury to our guest, as well as a ton of mosquitos and major thunderstorms. We still had a great time and Jenna and Christopher especially did very well with their maiden backpacking excursion. We will plan a second try next year, just later in the summer. Here are a few pics!

Backyard Bubbles and Domestic Emrie
We are enjoying our usual fabulous weather in Rexburg. Christopher and Isaac had some fun with bubbles and Emrie loves to help out around the house. Mostly getting into kitchen cupboards and helping Mom unload the the dryer. We need to keep a super watchful eye. She thinks she can take on the stairs, but has had one tumble so far. She is pretty fearless though and keeps on trying.

Emrie Update
Well, Emrie Grace will be 9 months old next week. She is fast getting into the toddler stage, well at least the climbing up on furniture and getting into about everything. Her favorite thing is to open cupboards and pull everything out. She loves the dishwasher and she no longer quietly seeks attention from her crib, it is stand up and shout out! She also loves her Johnny Jump Up. Oh, she is also showing a bit of a temper, especially with Isaac. The sibling rivalry is beginning early. It will be interesting to see who wins, so far Isaac is the tease and Emrie does not put up with any guff -- it should be fun to watch.
Here are 4 pictures and one video clip.

Christopher's Blog!
Christopher has been asking to have dad help him with a blog so he can share some of his art work. So, please check it out at http://www.artbycd.blogspot.com/. I think he wants to be a bit like Brandon who has a super art blog at www.brandondorman.blogspot.com/. He draws every day, so check out the blog often to see his progress.

Jenna Dance, Isaac Top Hat, and Emrie in the Back Yard
We have had a fun week and some really wonderful weather. Jenna had her final ballroom recital. Her team will be leaving for England in less than a month where they will perform at Black Pool, the premier ballroom competition in all the world. Isaac has some fun at the end with some of the costumes.
Emrie, at 6 months, is now setting up on her own and we enjoyed some time in the back yard. I took about 100 pictures tried to get Lolli (our dog) in one, but she just didn't cooperate.

Baby Pics
Since Emrie Grace's arrival just over 6 months ago, we have had many conversations with family and friends about just who exactly does she look like. This is the great discussion whenever a new baby arrives. Of course, she is a combination and we can see a little of all of us in her. We know she has dad's ears, as does Jenna, and Christopher. She is fair like mom and shares similar eye color with Jenna and Christopher. And, believe it or not, she has ten toes and fingers just like Isaac. Well, we are asking you to weigh in! Please share your comments and let us know who you think Emrie looks the most like.

Isaac Learns to Sing
Cindy usually has around 20 voice students so as you might guess, our children have all grown up listening and watching lots of students going through various vocal exercises. Recently Isaac went up to his mother and said "placing his hands on his hips" do it like this mom. He then proceeded to sing some songs from his favorite Disney movie Mulan. It was pretty cute and we had to get a picture. And, by the way, he is actually a pretty good singer, even for a two year old. Next time, we might even put some clothes on him, but we had to take this candid shot as it happened.
